Description of language levels offered at Medialangues
ADVANCED
Level 1
The student possesses significant oral and written skills, has advanced
grammar background and can converse with ease, yet some essential notions
require reinforcing. The student still has difficulty understanding complex
concepts and everyday information.

Objectives:
- Reinforce grammatical concepts
- Emphasize comprehension (paraphrasing information
from radio, T.V. and newspapers)
- Accent on conversation topics of particular interest
to students
- Emphasize systematic corrections of errors made
during conversation
- Learn the importance of intonation, stress and
rhythm of language
- Improve general understanding of current business
and everyday expressions: vocabulary building, the
importance of understanding punctuation and pronunciation
- Give precise and concise information
- Give precise and concise explanations

Level 2
This level is for the student who welcomes a challenge. The student is
well versed in business and everyday language. Comprehension and oral
ability is above average or excellent.

Objectives:
- Reinforce grammar
- Challenge comprehension
- Practice conversational skills
- Focus on systematic corrections of grammatical errors
made during conversation
- Make the student feel completely at ease and confident
in his or her ability to converse about real situations
related to work or daily life
- Practice relating information
